Cancer Check Labs is on a mission to save lives through early detection. Cancer Check can screen for 200+ cancers by physically extracting whole, intact circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from a blood sample. Because CTCs have been detected in blood samples as early as Stage 0, Cancer Check arguably provides the earliest cancer detection test available today. Cancer Check Labs is headquartered in Dallas, TX.

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking an experienced Virtual Attorney to provide high-level legal research support to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). This role requires expertise in laws and regulations across the US and other developed nations, as well as assisting with ad-hoc legal document review. If you have a strong legal background and a passion for research, this is a great opportunity to contribute remotely while maintaining flexibility.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct comprehensive research on laws and regulations in the United States and other highly developed nations.
- Provide ad-hoc review and analysis of legal documents as requested by the CSO.
- Assist with drafting reports or summaries of legal findings for the CSO’s use.

**Schedule**:

- Monday to Friday
- Available to work until noon Eastern Time
- 20-40 hours per week

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- At least 10 years of experience in legal research, particularly focusing on the US and other developed nations’ legal systems.

**Key Skills**:

- Proficient command of both written and spoken American English.
- Strong knowledge of the US legal system and international law.
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and other productivity tools.
- Reliable access to necessary work infrastructure (electricity, backup generator, broadband internet, computer, etc.) for remote work.

**Compensation**:

- $6-$8 per hour
