Description

**Essential Functions **
- Collaborate with UX designers, researchers, requirements engineers, and developers to produce software designs that reflect an understanding of the end-user’s workflow.
- Work within the design systems to create and manage common user interface elements such as icons, menus, controls, visualizations, etc.
- Strong typography, layout, visual, and user-system interaction design skills.
- Strong working knowledge of responsive design, grid principles, and design systems.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, sitemaps, and screen flows across multiple platforms (web and mobile).
- Adhere to company aesthetics, standards, and brand integrity when creating elegant and useful interfaces.
- All other duties as assigned.

**Skills needed to be successful**
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UI design.
- Proficiency in prototyping and visual design programs such as Sketch, InVision, Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud or similar design tools.
- Experience in the creation of UI deliverables: low and hi-fidelity prototypes, storyboards, wireframes, and layouts.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data for the best possible outcome
- Continued education and research into UI trends and current design strategy and technology.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple milestones and projects efficiently.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and comparable languages, libraries, and frameworks.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.

**Required Experience & Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, interaction design, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years’ demonstrated work experience in a similar field.
- Online portfolio displaying past work.

**Preferred Experience & Education**
- Experience with healthcare information systems a plus.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**
- No direct reports
