**Facility Supervisor**:
Do you have strong leadership and organizational skills? Then you could work as a facility supervisor and work your way up as you obtain higher qualifications and gain experience. In this role, you are responsible for overseeing an organization's facilities, but your duties may vary depending on the job. It's one thing to manage a warehouse or retail store and another thing to work in a school setting.

Facility supervisors are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a facility or group of facilities. They commonly work with contractors, vendors and other third parties to ensure that their facilities are well maintained and operating smoothly.

They may also be responsible for managing staff at these facilities—this might include hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, disciplining, etc.

**Facility Supervisor Job Duties**:

- A facility supervisor typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

- Ensuring that all safety procedures are followed and that safety equipment is available and in good condition
- Supervising the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and equipment, including hiring contractors for major projects
- Communicating with staff members to ensure that they are aware of any issues regarding safety or security
- Performing administrative tasks such as scheduling employees, ordering supplies, and arranging for repairs
- Monitoring equipment and machinery to ensure that they are in good working order
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment by complying with state and federal regulations regarding environmental issues such as waste disposal and recycling
- Coordinating activities with other departments within a facility or company, including human resources and security
- Monitoring employee attendance and making sure that they are performing their jobs correctly
- Training new employees, maintaining personnel records, and resolving employee complaints

**Facility Supervisor requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Facility Supervisor.
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Customer-oriented and friendly.
- Organizational and time management skills.
