**School Security Officer**

**About Us**:
The Vels Academy is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment for our students, faculty, and staff. We are seeking a dedicated and professional Security Officer to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining a positive and secure atmosphere on campus.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, and visitors by patrolling the school grounds and buildings.
- Monitor and control access to the school through security checkpoints, including verifying identification and issuing visitor passes.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct security inspections of the premises to identify and report any potential hazards or security breaches.
- Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules and regulations.
- De-escalate conflicts and maintain order in a professional and courteous manner.
- File reports on all security incidents and activities.
- Collaborate with school administration and local law enforcement as needed.
- Provide customer service to visitors, parents, and staff in a professional and helpful manner.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid security guard license (or willingness to obtain one).
- Minimum of one year of experience in security or a related field (preferred).
- Strong observation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Calm and assertive demeanor with the ability to de-escalate situations.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
