**Job Title: Azure Cloud ETL Tester**

**Experience Required**: 6+ Years (5 Years Relevant)
**Work Location**: Bangalore, Mysore, Pune (Hybrid)
**Work Type**: Canarys FTE

**Key Responsibilities**
- **ETL Testing**:

- Validate and test ETL pipelines on Azure Cloud to ensure accurate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Perform data validation, transformation logic verification, and source-to-target data mapping analysis.
- **Azure Data Bricks**:

- Collaborate with developers to test data engineering workflows built on **Azure Data Bricks**.
- Debug and validate complex data transformations and integration pipelines.
- **SQL Querying**:

- Write and execute advanced SQL queries for data validation, error detection, and performance optimization.
- Perform root cause analysis on data quality issues and provide actionable recommendations.
- **Python Scripting**:

- Create and execute automated scripts using **Python** to enhance testing efficiency.
- Test and validate Python-based transformations and scripts used in data pipelines.
- **Data Quality Assurance**:

- Validate data consistency, integrity, and accuracy across multiple environments.
- Implement and test data quality frameworks, including the use of tools like **Great Expectations** (preferred).
- **Collaborative Engagement**:

- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to define test strategies and resolve defects.
- Participate in requirement analysis, peer reviews, and project documentation.
- **Domain Expertise**:

- Leverage wealth management/finance domain knowledge to understand data flows and identify potential testing gaps.

**Mandatory Skills**:

- **Azure Cloud ETL Testing**: Hands-on experience with ETL testing in Azure Cloud environments.
- **Python**: Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
- **Azure Data Bricks**: Strong working knowledge of Azure Data Bricks for data engineering workflows.
- **SQL**: Advanced SQL query skills for data validation and troubleshooting.

**Desired Skills**:

- Experience/knowledge of **Great Expectations** for data validation and testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in a cloud environment.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA for test management.

**Soft Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to testing.
