We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as an **AVP, Quality Assurance, India FC Investigations**.

AVP, Quality Assurance is the final check on the Financial Crime investigations in terms of quality, documentation and decision-making. This role ensures the quality of investigations is above the acceptable level within India FC Investigations teams.

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Exercise judgement to identify procedure, documentation or decisioning gap. Ensure accurate and timely output of QA review. Record results in UCM system with required documentations.
- Analyse QA outcome and other information gathered to identify any systematic issue and reporting. Using the information, provide inputs to QA manager/team leader to develop report & recommendations.
- Maintain current knowledge of FC Investigation procedures and local regulations applicable to the business keep awareness about any policy, procedure or regulation changes.
- Assess, monitor, prepare MI and provide regular reporting to country management and/ or relevant governance committees.
- Assist QA manager/team leader to maintain a collaborative working relationship with relevant FC Investigations and key business stakeholders.
- Be able to work both independently and in team-oriented contexts, sharing best practice and taking ownership for self-development.
- Help cultivate an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand, thereby contributing towards high employee engagement and motivation.
- Maintain and observe all HSBC control standards and observe the Group Compliance Policy, including adherence (as directed) with recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.

**Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher**
- 12-month minimum prior experience as a Financial Crime Risk investigator or investigation QA or equivalent role within financial services industry.
- Good working knowledge of the AML, Sanctions and other financial crime related regulatory environment.
- Strong communication skills, (both verbal and written), numerate, detail orientated approach are critical to this role.
- Knowledge of Financial products, services, operations, systems and working knowledge of laws, regulations and regulatory agencies related to assigned areas.
- Ability to manage stakeholders in challenging circumstances and environments
- Experience in delivering in a pressured, turn-around time driven environment.
- Persistence and courage of their own convictions to follow up on noted quality issues and monitor agreed management actions to address.
- Certification in a professional association such as the Association of Certified Anti
- Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) or International Compliance Association (ICA) an advantage.
- Ability to maintain control, direction and motivation in an ever-changing environment.
Requirements
