Surface Grinder

**Job Title: Surface Grinder OperatorJob Responsibilities**:

- **Operating the Surface Grinder**:

- Set up and operate surface grinding machines to grind flat or cylindrical surfaces.
- Select and mount grinding wheels, ensuring they are aligned correctly and fit the job requirements.
- Adjust the machine’s settings, such as speed, pressure, and feed rate, to achieve the desired finish.
- **Preparing Workpieces**:

- Inspect workpieces to ensure they meet specifications before grinding.
- Clamp, secure, or position workpieces on the machine bed or worktable.
- Measure parts and record dimensions before and after grinding.
- **Grinding Process**:

- Operate the grinder to remove material and achieve specified surface finishes.
- Monitor the grinding process and adjust settings as needed to maintain accuracy.
- Perform in-process checks using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to ensure that the piece meets tolerances.
- **Maintaining the Machine and Equipment**:

- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of the grinding machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Change grinding wheels when necessary, ensuring proper alignment and safety measures are followed.
- Troubleshoot any issues with the machine or tools during the grinding process.
- **Quality Control and Inspection**:

- Inspect finished parts for quality, ensuring that they meet the required surface finish, tolerance, and specifications.
- Document results and maintain records for quality control purposes.
- Report defects or problems to supervisors or maintenance teams.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, goggles, and hearing protection.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to meet production schedules.
- Communicate any issues or delays that may arise during the grinding process.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in operating surface grinding machines and understanding the grinding process.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of material properties and grinding techniques.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
