**Role and Responsibilities**:
We are currently seeking an experienced and talented individual to join our team as the AVP (Java Hitachi). In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality software that meets user needs and business goals. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Actively participating in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
- Ensuring designs are compliant with requirements and best practices in terms of security, performance, and scalability.
- Managing customer and vendor relationships for technical support.
- Version management and release of software components through a well-documented build process.
- Striving for continuous improvement by exploring new technologies and presenting them to higher management for approval.
- Liaising effectively with external and internal customers.
- Taking responsibility for all documentation, unit testing, regression testing, and support during integration testing and UAT.
- Meeting project timelines while maintaining high levels of software quality.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

- Proven hands-on 10+ years of software development experience using Core Java.
- Experience in software development using J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Webservices, REST/SOAP API, Spring Boot Microservices, Node.js, Angular JS.
- Experience with Rabbit MQ, JMS messaging, Swagger, Docker and Kubernetes, Jenkins, Blue Ocean.
- Proficiency in Maven, Apache ANT tools, Linux, and Windows platforms.
- Knowledge of Postgres and SQL Server databases.
- Understanding of banking and finance domains.
- Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills using common design patterns.
- Deep understanding of Java and JEE internals, such as class-loading, memory management, transaction management, and multi-threading.
- Ability to quickly prototype requirements and validate with end-clients.
- Exposure to the payments environment will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Strong teamwork and proactive attitude.
- Ability to think innovatively and work in a nimble manner.
