Tasks

Key Tasks:

- Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

- Assess the technical feasibility and impact on the infrastructure.
- Identify potential bottlenecks and risks.
- Technical Design and Architecture:

- understand system components, interfaces, and data flows.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and security standards.
- Reviews the firewall sheets, monitoring configuration sheets and propose changes.
- Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning:

- Estimate resource requirements (CPU, memory, disk, network).
- Monitor system performance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Implement performance tuning techniques to improve response times and throughput.
- Problem solver:

- Work with both teams to develop and implement solutions to these issues.
- Change Management and Deployment:

- Manage change requests and assess their impact on the infrastructure.
- Provide management summary for CAB
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams to schedule and execute deployments.
- Plans changes and assign the tasks to various teams and coordinate those tasks.
- Security and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
- Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- participate in regular security assessments and audits.
- Knowledge Transfer and Training:

- Document procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Offer training sessions to both teams to ensure they understand the interdependencies and best practices.
- Foster collaboration and communication between teams.

Mandatory Skills:

- 12-15+ years with MS SQL Server, Oracle database administration experience.
- Experience in End to End Database Migration from On-Prem to Cloud Infrastructure including Virtual Network Design, routing rules, security groups, Instance creation, and database deployment.
- Architecture experience in Oracle and MS SQL
- Experience in implementing multi-tenant architectures.
- Experience/Exposure in Oracle Enterprise Manager, RMAN, Data guard and Real Application Cluster (RAC)
- Experience in Installation, Cloning, Maintenance/Support of Production and Development Environment.
- Experience in Database upgrade on various platforms.
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for various Database flavors.
- Good written/Verbal Communication, Presentation, Interactive skills with team across geography.
