**Job Title**: Pharmacist**Location**: [Tamluk], West Bengal**Registration**: Must be registered under the **West Bengal State Pharmacy Council (WBSPC)Job Summary**:
The pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medicines as per the doctor’s prescription, maintaining inventory, ensuring proper storage of drugs, and complying with the **Drugs and Cosmetics Act** and **Pharmacy Act, 1948**. The role also involves patient counseling and ensuring safe and effective use of medications.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Dispensing & Prescription Handling**:
- Accurately dispense prescribed medicines to patients.
- Cross-check prescriptions for legality, safety, and dosage.
- Maintain records of all prescriptions and dispensed drugs.
- **Inventory & Stock Management**:
- Maintain adequate stock levels of medicines.
- Check expiry dates and ensure proper disposal of expired drugs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manage purchase orders.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with **Drugs and Cosmetics Act** and **Pharmacy Council regulations**.
- Maintain required registers (e.g., Schedule H & X drugs).
- Cooperate with drug inspectors during audits/inspections.
- **Patient Care & Counseling**:
- Provide information on dosage, side effects, and storage of medicines.
- Counsel patients on over-the-counter (OTC) medicines.
- Promote rational use of drugs and adherence to treatment.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:
- Maintain daily sales and purchase registers.
- Record narcotic/substance usage if applicable.
- Prepare reports for management when required.
- **Storage & Quality Control**:
- Ensure drugs are stored at recommended temperatures.
- Monitor refrigerator and cold chain items.
- Follow first-expiry-first-out (FEFO) principle.
**Qualification & Experience**:
- **Education**: Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor in Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
- **Registration**: Valid registration with **West Bengal State Pharmacy Council (WBSPC)**.
- **Experience**: 0-3 years (Freshers with valid registration may apply).
**Skills Required**:
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and drug regulations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and record-keeping skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (billing, stock management).

Pay: ₹6,000.00 - ₹9,000.00 per month
