**NAME**:
**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION**:
Laboratory microbiologist set up tests & analysis in the lab to complete specific procedures. They perform complex tests on materials and samples as requested or assigned. They diligently log and analyze the accurate test results & report data revealed by lab tests to Technical managers for further verification. Laboratory microbiologist hold a broad range of responsibilities, including maintaining the integrity of procedures and recording professional activity for peer review. They are allowed to develop new testing procedures and technologies

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABLITIES include the following. Other assignments, projects, and duties may be required**:

- To carry out time bound testing as per relevant test methods/SOP or work instructions for microbiological samples received.
- To record all relevant information about the identity of sample, observation during testing, raw data obtained during analysis, calculations & final result in job sheet
- To ensure the respective job sheet are up to date with respect to calculation, observations.
- To carry the result entry in the lab radar.
- To check the quality of reagent/water/ Material used in laboratory under guidance of TM Microbiology.
- To carry Media verification test.
- To carry out timely fumigation of working rooms/Laminar air flow area & maintain their records.
- To carry the various hygiene check in laboratory like apron swab, Disinfectant validation, air count
- To maintain daily record of incubators.
- To maintain cleanliness & hygiene in laboratory. Maintain the records of cleanliness & give the related training to lab attendant.
- To look for proper workings & calibration of equipment’s in lab
- To conduct in-house calibration or performance check of various equipment’s in lab
- Achieving the TAT for the reports related to microbiological samples.
- To represent lab during internal as well as external audits.
- Communicate result failure if any with Lab Manager or in absence sales team.
- To conduct onsite sampling or monitoring as when requires.
- Training to sampler for microbiological sampling
- To keep the count of ETO treatment plates & maintains the stock of the plates.
- To carry the sterilization & decontamination with the help of lab attendant.
- Training to lab attendant for maintaining hygiene & cleanliness in lab as well as washing.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Supervises Jr. Microbiologist/Trainess during their workings

**ELIGIBLITY**
- Qualification: MSC Micro
- Experience: Fresher Or 1 Year Experience
- Expected Skills: Graduate in science, & Or Certified training for ISO/IEC 17025:2005.

- Microbiologists should be able to effectively communicate their research processes and findings so that knowledge may be applied correctly.
- Microbiologists must be able to conduct scientific experiments and analyses with accuracy and precision.
- Shall able to draw conclusions from experimental results through sound reasoning and judgment.
- Able to meet deadlines when conducting analysis and laboratory tests. They must be able to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining their quality of work.
- Sound knowledge of handling pure cultures & subculturing
