**PET Educators duties and responsibilities**

PET Educator are responsible for advancing their students’ physical ability and knowledge of sports. They are responsible for the welfare of their students and for ensuring that students can gain the qualifications they need to advance their education or their desired career paths after school. Their key duties and responsibilities include:

- Supervising practical PE lessons, including both indoor and outdoor classes
- Ensuring that children compete to their ability level and aren’t exposed to unnecessary injury or illness through school sports
- Motivating school children to take up new sports or athletic pursuits
- Evaluating the performance of students throughout the school year
- Attending parents’ evenings and providing parents with comprehensive reports on their child’s progress
- Training and coaching school sports teams to compete and succeed in nation-wide events
- Transporting individual competitors, school teams and other teachers to and from school sporting events
- Ensuring that students pass their practical and theoretical PE exams

**PET Educators skills and qualifications**

A successful PET Educator will have various prerequisite skills and teaching qualifications and a passion for sports. They have expert knowledge of a wide variety of sports, sporting tactics and physical training programmes. PET Educator also need to enjoy working with students and have excellent organisation, communication and teaching skills. Their main skills and qualifications include:

- Up-to-date knowledge of the C.B.S.E. PE curriculum
- Knowledge of PE examination processes and requirements
- Knowledge of physical exercises, stretching, nutrition and sports recovery
- Knowledge of different rules and regulations for sports, including athletics and team sports
- Qualified Teacher Status (B.P.Ed.)
- Basic knowledge of first aid and recognised first-aid certificate

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
