Job Title: SAP BASIS Administrator

Location: Mumbai, India

Experience: 6-10 Years

Type: Contract to Hire

Roles & Responsibilities

Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP BASIS Administration.

Lead and mentor the BASIS team to ensure optimal performance and delivery.

Make strategic decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.

Ensure continuous operation of SAP BASIS systems including installations, configurations, and upgrades.

Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution support across S/4 HANA, BW, PO, Solman, DMS, WebDispatcher, and more.

Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning for HANA, Sybase ASE, and MaxDB databases.

Manage system backups, restores, system copies, and Disaster Recovery (DR) operations.

Implement and maintain SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM, System Monitoring, Soldoc).

Administer SAP security, GRC, and data archiving using tools like OpenText.

Ensure compliance with pharma industry validation and regulatory standards.

Professional & Technical Skills

Must-Have Skills:
6-10 years of hands-on experience in SAP BASIS Administration.

Strong knowledge of S/4 HANA, SAP NetWeaver, and cloud-based SAP environments.

Proficient in system installations, upgrades, patching, and performance optimization.

Experience with HANA 2.0, Sybase ASE 16.0, and MaxDB 7.9+ on SUSE Linux 15.

Familiarity with SAP WebDispatcher, Java stack, and Solution Manager.

Good to Have:
Experience in HANA Cloud environments.

Exposure to SAP GRC, OpenText, and Data Archiving tools.

Understanding of pharma industry validation and compliance protocols.

Additional Expectations

Must have completed at least one full-cycle implementation and one upgrade project.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience interacting with both technical teams and business users.

Ability to work under pressure and support escalations or planned activities 24x7x365.

Active contributor to support processes, SOPs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum of 15 years of full-time education required.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
