Chemist - Food

1. Raw Material Testing:

- Perform routine testing of raw materials such as milk, spices,

water, nuts, flour, oil, sugar, etc to ensure compliance with safety

and quality standards.
- Conduct chemical, physical, and microbiological tests to identify

any contaminants or quality deviations.

2. Finished Product Testing:

- Test finished products, including milk-based sweets, nut-based

products, and flour-based sweets, for quality control and

compliance with food safety standards.
- Ensure all finished products meet regulatory and company

quality benchmarks.

3. Data Management:

- Prepare and maintain detailed, accurate raw data of all tests

performed.
- Ensure all testing records are properly documented and easily

accessible for audits and reviews.

4. Compliance with FSSAI Regulations:

- Ensure that all food products and materials adhere to FSSAI

requirements.
- Participate in internal audits and assist in preparing

documentation and reports for FSSAI audits.

5. Laboratory Maintenance:

- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.

6. Collaboration:

- Work closely with quality control teams, production staff, and

other stakeholders to ensure that all testing protocols are

followed.

Requisite Skills: 1. Hands-on experience in food and water testing, particularly with raw

materials like milk, spices, water, nuts, and flour.

2. Experience in analysis of food products, preferably those having

experience in related field (w.r.t. FSSAI manual, BIS or FDA for exports)

3. Strong knowledge of testing techniques for finished products like milk
- based sweets, nut-based sweets, and flour-based sweets.

4. Familiarity with FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India)

requirements and experience in audits.

5. Ability to prepare and maintain detailed testing data.

6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

7. ⁠Excellent verbal and writing skills, with ability to solve complex problems,

sound knowledge of mathematics and science

8. ⁠Should possess analytical thinking skills, able to work under stress

9. ⁠Good knowledge of food processing or related field

11. Able to study/analyse the effect of various methods of processing,

preservation and packaging on the properties/composition of food

products

12. Knowledge of foreign regulations and guidelines for the purpose of export

of food products

13. Knowledge of audit processes as per HACCP and ISO

14. Knowledge of nutrition facts

15. Excellent knowledge and experience in microbial testing for analysis of

related food product

16. Knowledge about sensory evaluation of raw material, in processes material

and finished product

17. Knowledge about analysis of water for suitability in manufacture of related

product

Desired Skills: 1. Proficiency in data analysis software and laboratory information

management systems (LIMS).

Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Food Chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology

or a related field.

Relevant Experience: 3 to 5 Years

CTC per annum: 3,00,000 to 3,60,000

Total Experience: 3 to 5 Years

Monthly Net Salary: 25000 to 30000

Work time 7:00 am to 4:00 pm

PF - Yes / No As per compliance
