The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Finance is a strategic role within an organization responsible for overseeing and managing the

**Responsibilities**:
- **
Financial Control, Planning and Analysis**: Managing financial control functions within the organization. Develop and execute financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- ** Financial Reporting**: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- ** Financial Strategy**: Collaborate with executive management to develop financial strategies aligned with organizational goals. Provide guidance and recommendations on financial matters to support business growth and profitability.
- ** Fund Management**: Overseeing the financial aspects of investment funds, including strategic planning, asset allocation, risk management, portfolio analysis, and performance evaluation. Work closely with Leadership & other stakeholders to optimize the fund's financial performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- ** Accounting Operations**: Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll. Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
- ** Risk Management**: Assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Monitor internal controls and compliance with financial regulations. Develop and maintain effective internal audit processes.
- ** Team Management**: Lead and mentor a small team of finance and accounting professionals. Set performance objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and provide training and development opportunities.
- ** Stakeholder Relationship Management**: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies. Provide financial expertise and support during negotiations and business transactions.
**Qualifications**:
- Education: A Bachelor's/Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- ** Experience: 8-12 years of progressively responsible experience in finance roles. Experience in a leadership role within a similar-sized organization is beneficial.**:
- ** Financial Acumen: Strong knowledge of Financial Controlling, Financial planning, analysis, fund management, accounting principles, and reporting standards. Familiarity with financial software systems and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.**:
- ** Strategic Thinking & Business Understanding: Ability to think strategically, analyze complex financial data, and make informed decisions. Strong business acumen to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.**:
