Overview of the role:
The Product Owner is responsible for creating development documentation and communication plans that will translate product requirements into actionable items for development and Quality Assurance. This is a key role within the Product Management team, working with multiple internal and external stakeholders to connect and create complete solutions.
The Product Owner will work closely with a team consisting of Analysts, Software Engineers, and Test Engineers, and must be able to analyze, compose, and communicate effective User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.
The Product Owner must communicate effectively with all areas of the company and be accountable for product delivery deadlines
- Serve as a voice to project the expectations of customers on new or already existing products; Highlight product features in a manner clearly understandable to the development team
- Assist technical communication team to create effective documentation that outlines the customer challenge, product feature, and benefit / value to the customer.
- Manage and develop product backlog, as well as user stories backlog for implementation; Assess product value stream to identify areas that require improvements
- Contact customers and end users to obtain information on expected product features; Analyse customer opinions and feedback to determine features or components that will add good value to a product
- Work with Scrum Teams to execute on Sprint Objectives and attend sprint planning and demo meetings to give feedback on sprint achievement and keep in touch with Product Managers to gauge the needs and interest in the product initiatives
- Develop and implement action plans for building and sustaining demand for a product. Measure product performance as well as value delivered to clients to adjust where necessary
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Familiar with Agile methodologies, experience working in SAFe a plus
- Track record for excellent collaboration with team members regarding product knowledge, delivery, and enhancement
- Direct and motivate the product development team within the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication-Attention to detail, superior time management
