**Job Summary**
A Western Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a wide range of Western cuisine dishes such as steaks, pastas, burgers, soups, salads, and more. The role requires culinary expertise, knowledge of Western food preparation techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook Western-style dishes according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
- Ensure all meals are prepared with high quality, consistency, and taste
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times
- Check food stock levels and assist with inventory control
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards strictly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage prep work and maintain smooth kitchen operations
- Assist in creating or updating Western menu items based on customer preferences or seasonal availability
- Monitor portion control and minimize food waste
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a cook specializing in Western cuisine (e.g., in hotels, restaurants, or catering services)
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques such as grilling, baking, sautéing, roasting, and frying
- Ability to follow recipes and plating standards
- Understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene regulations
- Good time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work as part of a team under pressure
- Basic English communication (helpful for recipe reading and teamwork)
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Formal culinary training or certification (not always required but preferred)
- Experience in a hotel, resort, or fine dining setup
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
