- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of IAM professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective performance and career development.
- Solution Design: Design IAM solutions and architectures to meet business requirements, including identity lifecycle management, access control, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with IAM vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions and services.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate IAM-related risks, including security threats, compliance gaps, and operational vulnerabilities.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies related to IAM, such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and PCI DSS.
- Identity Lifecycle Management: Oversee the management of user identities, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access recertification processes.
- Access Control: Define and enforce access control policies and mechanisms, such as role-based access control (RBAC), attribute-based access control (ABAC), and least privilege principles.
- Identity Governance: Establish and maintain identity governance processes, including access request, approval workflows, access reviews, and entitlement management.
- Incident Response and Investigation: Lead incident response efforts related to IAM incidents, including investigating security breaches, unauthorized access, and identity theft incidents.
- Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and partners on IAM policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor IAM performance metrics, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement to enhance security, efficiency, and user experience.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT, security, legal, and compliance, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage IAM budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimize investments in IAM technologies and initiatives.
