Job Summary: A plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, fixtures, and piping in homes, commercial buildings, and industrial settings. This may include installing and repairing water supply lines, waste disposal systems, and gas lines, as well as repairing or replacing fixtures such as faucets, toilets, and sinks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, and piping
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing problems
- Determine the best course of action to repair or replace plumbing systems
- Communicate with clients and explain the nature of the plumbing problem and the necessary repairs
- Install and repair gas lines, water supply lines, and waste disposal systems
- Repair or replace fixtures such as toilets, sinks, and faucets
- Keep up-to-date with local building codes and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude
**Requirements**:
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or relevant vocational training
- State license and certification as a plumber
- Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work in tight spaces and lift heavy objects
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
**Salary**: The average annual salary for a plumber is $56,330, but may vary depending on experience, location, and employer.
Working Conditions: Plumbers may work indoors or outdoors, and may be required to work in tight spaces, crawl spaces, and other challenging environments. They may also be required to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts in case of emergencies. Safety equipment such as goggles, gloves, and hard hats may be required for certain tasks.
**Salary**: ₹300,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per month
