**Position Overview**:WizHob is seeking a talented and passionate Online Sitar Tutor to join our platform. As a Sitar Tutor on WizHob, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise in playing the sitar, inspiring students from around the world to appreciate the beauty of Indian classical music. This is a remote, part-time position.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct engaging and interactive one-on-one and group lessons through our online learning platform.
- Develop personalised lesson plans that cater to different skill levels and musical goals.
- Instruct students on fundamental sitar playing techniques, hand positions, and string manipulation.
- Cover sitar theory, including ragas, talas, and musical concepts integral to Indian classical music.
- Introduce students to a diverse range of sitar compositions and classical music repertoire.
- Guide students in mastering traditional and contemporary sitar pieces.
- Prepare students for virtual solo and ensemble performances.
- Offer guidance on stage presence, virtual audience interaction, and overcoming performance anxiety.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their performance, technique, and overall progress.
- Utilize the WizHob platform for assessments and tracking student development.
- Infuse cultural and historical context into lessons, enhancing students' appreciation for the rich traditions associated with the sitar and Indian classical music.
- Maintain regular and clear communication with students through the WizHob platform.
- Collaborate with other hobby tutors and WizHob staff to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Stay updated on developments in sitar playing techniques, Indian classical music, and relevant technologies.
- Participate in WizHob's training and development programs.

**Requirements**:

- Proven proficiency in playing the sitar with a strong background in Indian classical music.
- Previous experience in teaching sitar to students of various ages and skill levels, preferably in an online setting.
- Familiarity with virtual teaching tools and platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a virtual environment.
- Passion for imparting knowledge and fostering a love for Indian classical music.
- Patience and adaptability in catering to diverse learning styles.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
