Nuclear Medicine Technologist

**Qualifications**:
- **Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Medical Imaging Technology.
- Certification from an accredited institution (e.g., BSc in Nuclear Medicine Technology, DNMT).
- **Licensing/Registration**: Valid certification or license as per local/national regulations (e.g., AERB approval in India).
- **Experience**: 1-3 years of experience in nuclear medicine imaging preferred (freshers with internship experience may also apply).
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients under physician supervision.
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures (e.g., PET, SPECT, bone scans, thyroid scans, cardiac scans).
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain gamma cameras, PET/CT scanners, dose calibrators, and related equipment.
- Follow established radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self.
- Verify patient identity, obtain relevant clinical history, and explain the procedure clearly to the patient.
- Process and analyze images using appropriate computer systems and software.
- Maintain accurate documentation of radioactive materials usage, patient doses, and equipment logs.
- Participate in quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) programs for nuclear medicine equipment.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and government regulations (e.g., AERB, IAEA, NABH).
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and audits as required.
- Maintain stock and inventory of radiopharmaceuticals and coordinate with suppliers.
- Provide technical assistance during radiotherapy planning or research activities, if applicable.
