Jumbaya is an early-stage startup that is creating a digital platform to help kids learn and enjoy reading We're a small, tight-knit team of Story Writers, Illustrators, Animators, UI/UX Designers and Engineers, with a shared goal - bringing the joy of storytelling to kids all over the world

Tasks

As a Visual Designer, you will be working closely with the product team to help shape a beautiful, user-centric digital experience. Your responsibilities will inlcude:

- Since our product caters to kids, we are always focused on creating age-appropriate and user-centric experiences
- Working with Product Designers to create a beautiful and intuitive interface for our mobile app
- Crafting delightful and context-appropriate icons, illustrations and other imagery that will be used in our products
- Developing a strong and cohesive visual identity for our product, which can reflect the brand's ethos
- Implementing motion design and animations that can uplift the user's experience
- Working with cross-functional teams to help in actualising the designs into a tangible digital product

**Requirements**:

- Mastery of design fundamentals such as layout, typography and colour theory
- Preferably 2+ years of experience in working with visual design for digital products.
- Proven experience in delivering visually appealing designs
- Prior design education is a plus
- Proficiency with digital design tools such as Figma and Adobe CC
- A well-crafted portfolio that can speak for itself : )
- Attention to detail, and finesse in your work
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively
