Automation QA

The QA Analyst is a key appointment in the India MSST Team and takes a lead in the development, implementation, monitoring and review of QA procedures. The QA Analyst is also responsible for ensuring the administration and accurate and appropriate recording and storage of QA records and associated documentation. He / She will also provide administrative support to the department and the QA structures of India Markets technology as required. This is a position of responsibility that requires the ability to work autonomously and the confidence to provide sound direction and guidance to colleagues, both junior and senior, in respect of quality assurance requirements and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:
Conducts a variety of moderately complex process monitoring, product evaluation and audit assignments; reports issues and makes recommendations for solutions.
Ensures project standards and procedures exist, are fully clearly documented and followed throughout the software development life cycle; makes recommendations for enhanced documentation.
Monitors products for conformance to standards; monitors processes for conformance to procedures.
Documents findings and performs preliminary root causes analyses to provide recommended improvements.
Ensures all corrective actions are assigned, documented and completed.
Verifies traceability in project work products.
Gathers, maintains and creates reports on quality metrics.
Exhibits good understanding of procedures and concepts within own technical area and a basic knowledge of these elements in other areas independently.
Requires clear understanding of how own area integrates within IT Quality to achieve objectives.
Directly assist the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others; impacts own team and closely related work teams.
Performs other duties and functions as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Banking +/ IT. Master’s degree in finance a plus.
NCFM/CFA/ICFAI/FRM or any other relevant financial certifications are good to have.
ITSQB-BCS Advanced Test Manager (desirable but not essential)
Quality Assurance (QA) experience in the Financial Service industry is must.

Experience

5+ years of experience in automation testing with Hands on experience in both open source and licensed automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber and QTP in BFSI domain is preferred.
Programming background with any modern programming language.
Prior experience of working in an investment bank with the finance domain is necessary.

**Must have**:
Exposure to both functional and non-functional testing, manual and automation testing in banking and financial domain (Private Banking, Investment Management, Asset Management, preferred)
Good understanding of asset classes in markets and their lifecycle process - FI/MM, Derivatives, FX, Rates
High level of programming and SQL skills e.g. Java/.NET, python, development in Linux environment (shell scripting)
High development standards for code quality, code review, unit and integration testing, etc.
Stay abreast of latest Test Automation, Automation tools and frameworks and also, with new trends, Open Source, Continuous Integration & Continuous Development ( CI & CD such as Jenkins, UDeploy, BitBucket, JIRA, TeamCity, SonarCube )
Good understanding of project management principles and familiarity in different development & testing methodologies.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and deliver powerful presentations to ensure QA vision is understood and implemented correctly.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with mínimal supervision.
Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority changes.
Experience in handling mission critical requirements at short notice particularly in the regulatory space.
Experience in managing end to end project life cycle using industry standard methodologies.
Handing end to end project lifecycle from requirements to testing & post production assistance
Create, manage and own testing documentation in Confluence and JIRA project repositories.
Track QA metrics, estimate work and generate reports for management reporting

**Good to have**:
Have strong technical skills with hands on experience in any programming with any industry leading programming language.
Proficient in all areas of vendor management including experience with onshore / offshore / outsourcing models.
