Barman

A bartender's job description includes a variety of tasks, such as:

- **Serving drinks**Bartenders prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. They also ensure that the correct drink is made and given to the right customer.
- **Taking orders**Bartenders take orders from customers and waitstaff. They may also interact with customers and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- **Managing inventory**Bartenders maintain bar inventory and control of bar stock. They may also submit orders or create requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies.
- **Cleaning**Bartenders keep the bar area clean and organized, including washing glasses and utensils.
- **Processing payments**Bartenders collect payment for beverages and record sales. They may also operate Point of Sale (POS) systems for order entry and payment processing.
- **Ensuring compliance**Bartenders ensure compliance with provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations. They also verify the age of customers and monitor their alcohol consumption.
- **Providing customer service**Bartenders provide friendly and attentive service to customers. They may also entertain customers who sit at the bar by providing stimulating conversation.
