Description
- Interpret medical imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine studies, to provide accurate and timely diagnostic assessments.
- Recognize and characterize abnormalities, lesions, and other pathological findings on medical images, correlating imaging findings with clinical history and laboratory results.
- Provide comprehensive radiological reports documenting imaging interpretations, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations for further evaluation or treatment.
- Communicate imaging findings effectively with referring physicians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team to facilitate patient care coordination and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with radiology technologists, imaging staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging studies and patient safety during procedures.
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences, tumor boards, and clinical rounds to discuss imaging findings, contribute radiological expertise, and guide patient management decisions.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology, imaging technology, and medical knowledge through continuing education, professional development activities, and participation in relevant conferences and seminars.
- Adhere to ethical principles, professional standards, and regulatory requirements governing radiology practice, including patient confidentiality, radiation safety, and quality assurance protocols.
