**What You'll Do**:
As a Snowflake Data Platform Admin, you will be focusing on managing Snowflake, implementing new features, evaluating various compliance needs, and recommending the best practices. You will also be responsible for optimizing the platform, both from a usage and cost standpoint. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated to continuously improve upon the architecture and drive solutions to delivery using new and existing technologies.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director of Data Platforms and ML Operations.
- Analyze production workloads and develop strategies to optimize Snowflake for scale and efficiency
- Identify the performance bottlenecks and perform performance tuning capacity planning, and manage cloud spend by finding opportunities to save cost
- Design and develop secure access models using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Manage large-scale data environments and data pipelines
- Use recovery methods including Time Travel and Cloning
- Automate repetitive platform tasks using scripting languages like Python, Shell, or Terraform
- Automate Snowflake tasks, efficient with snowflake procedures
- Collaborate with the data engineering team and business collaborators to expedite data product delivery
- Develop and document operational best practices, monitoring procedures, SLAs, and metrics

**Job Designation**:
**Hybrid**:
Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

**What You Bring**:
**Basic**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree or 5 years with a Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in Snowflake SQL (for querying, creating, and managing objects)
- Experience with cloud platforms that Snowflake integrates with, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of Snowflake’s security features (e.g., data encryption, access controls) and best practices for securing data
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating tasks and managing workflows

**Preferred**
- Strong commitment to operational excellence through automation, innovation, and documentation
- Superb communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with both business and technical teams
- Ability to solve complex issues and provide data-driven solutions
- Snowflake offers specific certifications, such as Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification
