**Job Title: Data Architect - Azure Databricks**

**Location: Udaipur/ Jaipur/ Kolkata**

**About the Role**:
We’re looking for an experienced Data Architect to join our growing data team and play a central role in shaping our next-generation data infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing scalable data architectures within Azure and Databricks, helping translate complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications for our Data Engineering team. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong communication skills, data modeling expertise, and a deep understanding of modern data platforms.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Architect & Optimize Data Solutions**:Design and evolve the architecture for our centralized data lake in Azure using Databricks, optimizing for scalability, usability, and performance.
- **Bridge Business & Technical Needs**: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into clear, structured technical specifications.
- **Schema Management**:Review and refine the existing data model with an eye toward future extensibility and performance, adjusting as business needs evolve.
- **Data Governance & Quality**:Define data standards and best practices to ensure high-quality, consistent, and secure data across platforms.
- **Team Enablement**: Collaborate with Data Engineers to guide the implementation of architecture patterns and ensure alignment between business goals and technical execution.
- **Tooling & Optimization**: Recommend improvements in processing, tooling, and workflows using the Databricks ecosystem (e.g., Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, DBSQL).

**Required Qualifications**:

- Strong experience designing data solutions in Azure, particularly within the Databricks platform.
- Deep understanding of data modeling approaches including star schema, One Big Table, and normalized relational models—along with their trade-offs and use-case suitability.
- Proven ability to interface with business users to capture and clarify requirements.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern data pipeline design (ETL/ELT).
- Strong grasp of data governance, metadata management, and schema evolution.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Databricks SQL.
- Background in building multi-tenant or cross-domain architectures in a centralized data lake environment.
- Knowledge of data privacy and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Experience mentoring or supporting data engineers on architectural best practices.
- Exposure to data product thinking and data mesh principles is a plus.

Pay: ₹13,726.34 - ₹36,996.29 per month
