Health and Safety Officer

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Safety Management**:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all sites, with a focus on CGD and related projects.
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- **Environmental Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards, including waste management, pollution control, and sustainable practices.
- Oversee environmental impact assessments for new projects and monitor ongoing environmental performance.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate environmental considerations into the planning and execution phases.
- **Occupational Health & Safety**:
- Develop and deliver training programs on occupational health, safety practices, and emergency response protocols.
- Ensure all safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) are maintained and used correctly.
- Promote a strong safety culture, encouraging employee participation and awareness of health and safety practices.
- **Legal Compliance**:
- Stay updated on national and local safety regulations and ensure the company’s practices meet or exceed these standards.
- Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Advise management on safety-related legal obligations and best practices.
- **Emergency Preparedness**:
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including fire safety, chemical spills, and other potential hazards.
- Coordinate emergency drills and ensure readiness for all types of emergencies.
- Lead the crisis management team during emergencies, providing clear direction and communication.
- **Project Management**:
- Provide safety oversight on large-scale engineering projects, ensuring all safety protocols are followed from start to finish.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety is integrated into every aspect of project execution.
- Track and report on safety metrics related to project milestones.
- **Leadership and Collaboration**:
- Mentor and guide junior safety officers and HSE staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Work closely with HR to address any safety-related concerns and ensure all staff receive adequate training.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies, to ensure transparent and effective communication regarding safety practices.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Peenya, Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:

License/Certification:
