CNC Programmer:

- A CNC programmer writes code offline using Siemens UG NX to automate power driven machines that cut and finish metal
- such as lathes, grinders and mills. CNC Programming for geometry creation, toolpath generation and toolpath post
- processing for Turning (VTL & HTL), Milling (2, 3 & 5 axes) & Mill turn machines.Sample Job Description for a CNC Programmer:
- Creates instructions for machinists.
- Reviews 3D CAD design blueprints.
- Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.
- Translates instructions into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program for

Fanuc, Heidenhain, or Siemens Controls.- Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests using Vericut.
- Prepares geometric layout of designs using Siemens UG NX.
- Determines sequence of operations in a program.
- Chooses cutting tools that will be needed.
- Analyzes job order and performs necessary calculations.
- Writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency.
- Analyzes and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs.
- Makes improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex shapes.
- Simplifies tooling time for workers and increases productivity for the company.
- Evaluates all completed designs to validate their functions and ensure they successfully

reduce time and money for the company.- Monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and

successfully complete the task.- Complies with all safety rules and regulations.

Education And/or Experience Required:
- MTech / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 3-8 years’ prior experience in R&D / Engineering as CAM Engineering.
- Sound Technical knowhow of turbine rotating parts and its functionality.
- Knowledge of CNC Programmer Milling and Turning Tools UGNX and Knowledge of systems Hyper mill.
- Experience on two domain Aerospace and Automobile.
- Offline CAM programming with co-ordination of US team.
