Job Description: Azure Data Engineer (Architect Level)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Azure Data Engineer at the Architect level to lead the design and implementation of complex data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. As an Azure Data Engineer Architect, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, guiding the development team, and ensuring the successful delivery of data projects. Your expertise in Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse will be crucial in architecting scalable and efficient data solutions. Additionally, your proficiency in data cleansing, duplicate detection, and integration with external systems like Microsoft Dataverse will contribute to the success of our projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Architect and design end-to-end data solutions on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, with a strong focus on Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory.
- Lead the development and implementation of data pipelines, data integration processes, and data warehousing solutions, utilizing your in-depth knowledge of ETL.
- Design and implement Data Marts to support business reporting and analytics needs.
- Utilize your expertise in Azure Synapse for large-scale data processing and analytics.
- Implement data cleansing techniques and duplicate detection mechanisms to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
- Integrate with external systems like Microsoft Dataverse for data ingestion and seamless data exchange.
- Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts is a plus.
- Ensure data governance and compliance using tools like Collibra to maintain data quality and security.
- Understand and align data solutions with the B2B and B2C business models, with prior experience in eCommerce.
- Take ownership and responsibility for end-to-end project delivery, demonstrating a track record of successful project completions within a 5-6 year timeframe.
- Display excellent communication skills, facilitating requirements gathering sessions, conducting demos, and driving design discussions effectively.
- Lead and mentor an offshore team of 3-4 technical resources, ensuring their successful delivery and providing support as required.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 12-15 years of overall experience in Data Engineering, with at least 5 years at the Architect level, designing and implementing data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Expert-level proficiency in Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory.
- In-depth knowledge of ETL processes and data transformation techniques.
- Expertise in Azure Synapse for advanced data processing and analytics.
- Strong experience in data cleansing, duplicate detection, and data quality management.
- Experience with Data Mart design and implementation.
- Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts is advantageous.
- Proven experience in integrating with external systems, such as Microsoft Dataverse and other third-party APIs.
- Knowledge of data governance principles and experience using tools like Collibra.
- Good understanding of B2B and B2C business models, with prior experience in eCommerce.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage end-to-end project delivery successfully.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management practices.
- Azure certifications in relevant areas (e.g., DP-200, DP-201, DP-300, etc.) will be a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
