Job Title: Fitter
Location: ON Site : Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd, Mumbai Department: Production / Outfitting / HVAC / Ducting Reporting To: Site Supervisor / Project Engineer Job Summary:
We are looking for skilled and experienced Fitters for our site at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd. The role involves executing fitting and assembly work on ships, including structural, piping, or ducting components. Experience in marine HVAC ducting fitting and installation will be considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out fitting and assembly work related to shipbuilding activities.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and layout plans.
- Fit and assemble metal parts, ducts, structures, and components as per project needs.
- Perform marking, cutting, grinding, and fitting activities with precision.
- Assist in the alignment and installation of HVAC ducting systems (if experienced).
- Ensure proper handling of tools, machinery, and safety equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety at the workplace.
- Work in coordination with welders, fabricators, and other tradesmen.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and comply with project schedules.
Eligibility Criteria:
- ITI (Fitter) or equivalent trade certificate from recognized institution.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in shipyard or heavy fabrication industry.
- Sound knowledge of fitting tools, machines, and measurement instruments.
- Ability to understand and work from technical drawings.
- Willingness to work in shifts and under demanding project timelines.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
