Sampling Merchandiser

**Qualification**: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Merchandising, or a related field is preferred.

**Experience**: 1 to 6 years’ experience as Sampling Merchandiser or in a similar role within Fashion/Apparel industry.

**Skills**:Ø Strong leadership skills with previous experience in managing a team.

Ø In-depth knowledge of sampling processes, techniques, and materials in the industry.

Ø Proficient in embroidery techniques, digitizing software, and embroidery machinery.

Ø Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, designers, and production teams.

Ø Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize and manage multiple sample projects simultaneously.

Ø Proficient in using computer software such as MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop & Illustrator and embroidery design software.

Ø Sound understanding of sampling processes, including costing, sourcing, and quality control.

Ø Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process improvements and drive operational excellence.

Ø Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

**Job Summary**:
Ø Sampling Merchandiser is responsible for overseeing and managing the sampling process in a merchandising or production environment. Work closely with clients, designers, and production teams to ensure accurate and timely execution of samples according to client specifications. The role requires strong creative skills to interpret client specifications and offer innovative proposals for new developments. It also requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills to meet client expectations and drive excellence in sample development.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Ø Sample Management: Oversee the entire sampling process, from initial client communication to sample delivery. Ensure efficient coordination between clients, designers, and production teams to meet sample deadlines and quality standards.

Ø Team Leadership: Supervise and guide a team of sampling merchandisers, providing support, training, and mentorship. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure the team's effective collaboration to achieve departmental goals.

Ø Client Communication: Act as the main point of contact for key clients, addressing their sample requirements, providing updates, and resolving any concerns or issues. Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional customer service.

Ø Sample Development: Lead the development of samples based on client requirements. Collaborate with designers, fabric suppliers, and production teams to select appropriate materials, oversee the digitizing process, and ensure accurate execution of design details.

Ø Quality Control: Implement and enforce stringent quality control measures to ensure high-quality samples. Conduct thorough inspections of samples, checking for accuracy, stitch quality, color matching, and overall finish. Address any issues and work with the team to resolve them effectively.

Ø Sample Timeline Management: Establish and manage sample timelines, ensuring samples are produced and delivered within agreed-upon deadlines. Proactively communicate potential delays or challenges, propose solutions, and manage client expectations.

Ø Cost Analysis: Collaborate with the costing team to determine accurate pricing for samples, considering material costs, labor hours, and additional expenses. Review and approve cost estimates to ensure profitability and competitiveness.

Ø Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve sample development processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction. Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and streamlining of workflows.

Ø Training and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and emerging technologies related to sampling. Provide training and guidance to the team, ensuring their skill development and fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Ø Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports on sample progress, cost analysis, and quality metrics. Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹850,000.00 per year
