About the team

Position
- Java Backend Developer

What you will be doing:

- The engineer will be responsible for providing support for the Worldwide Payment Gateway (WPG)
- WPG is a critical eCommerce payment processing platform
- The team is growing in size to accommodate the customer growth during recent and future years.
- The team will operate according to the defined and deployed global operating model, maximising consistency across the wider global group
- This role requires the engineer to work as part of a team to seek resolution of production incidents
- The role includes working alongside the business stakeholders and helping to build a positive profile of the team that fully supports the Worldpay values

What you bring:

- 7+ Years of experience in Relational databases including experience of database design - preferably SQL or Oracle
- Operational Unix commands
- Operational Windows Server commands
- Object oriented design development language - preferably Java or C#
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
- Understanding of Client/Server topology
- Track record in delivering work to schedule and specification
