**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design original woven, printed, and embroidered têxtiles in accordance with traditional Indian styles and techniques.
- Collaborate with local artisans and weavers to develop fabrics aligned with seasonal and thematic concepts.
- Research indigenous craft traditions, regional motifs, and natural materials to inform design direction.
- Create mood boards, fabric samples, and detailed technical specifications for sampling and production.
- Maintain quality and craftsmanship standards while preserving the authenticity of handmade têxtiles.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Degree or diploma in Textile Design, Handloom Technology, or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of experience in têxtile design, preferably within the handloom or craft-based sector.
- Strong understanding of traditional Indian têxtile techniques such as weaving, block printing, natural dyeing, and embroidery.
- Ability to work respectfully with artisan communities and contribute to knowledge-sharing on the ground.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus, but not essential.
- Passion for khadi, Indian crafts, and sustainable design practices.
