**Your role**
- Do you have a strong risk and analytical mind and extensive experience as an assurance assessor in a large-scale, complex organization either in the business or in a control function? Can you provide independent review and challenge and are confident when it comes to speaking up for what is right and challenging at all levels?
- analyse control frameworks to ensure they are comprehensive, with data quality controls covering completeness, accuracy and timeliness aspects
- design test approaches, considering how the control mitigates the intended risk, in line with defined testing methodology and operating procedures
- perform independent Design Effectiveness (DE) and Operating Effectiveness (OE) tests on BCBS-239 relevant controls (Basel Committee on Banking Supervision's standard number 239)
- ensure effective stakeholder management with control owners, operational risk managers, business aligned controllers and other senior stakeholders
- Support with the production of quarterly reporting, including the performance of BCBS-239 risk assessments

**Your team**
- The global BCBS-239 Independent Validation Team (IVT) is a second line assurance function within Group Compliance, Regulatory & Governance whose objective is to ensure that management's controls are designed and operating effectively to mitigate significant risks. You will be based in India and will report to the C&ORC Manager BCBS239 Validation.

**Your expertise**
- 5+ years' experience in Financial Services with experience in either Control Framework Design/Testing, Internal Audit or Risk Data Aggregation or Reporting
- undertaken independent risk and control assessments or reviews
- experience performing control testing such as internal controls over risk or financial reporting
- the ability to deal with a large workload and prioritize competing demands with an eye for process improvement
- a track record of successful delivery of both a day-to-day mandate and change initiatives
- strong written and spoken English, analytical, good at problem-solving, risk focused
- strong at organisational, planning and time management skills
- assertive, with the ability to collaborate with a diverse team and build strong relationships with key stakeholders
