**Roles and Responsibility**
Job Title: MongoDB

- 1. Build MongoDB HA strategies, including replica sets and sharing
- 2. Implement shading and indexing strategies for MongoDB.
- 3. Deploy Mongo DB database/projects in Community, Enterprise and percona Mongodb as per best standards.
- 4. Maintain MongoDB databases/DB projects Administer MongoDB to achieve 100% availability.
- 5. Implement and manage the security of MongoDB databases.
- 6. Advise with MongoDB scaling
- 7. Diagnose and address database performance issues using performance monitors and various tuning techniques.
- 8. Configure and maintain database high availability.
- 9. Responsible for Mongo backups and restores
- 10. Provide training to members of the Database team on MongoDB.
- 11. Providing robust engineering support for MongoDB
- 12. Provide guidance to developers or architects as needed.
- 13. Hands-on maintenance and administration of Linux based systems.
- 14. Server migrations.
- 15. Fine-tune configurations.
- 16. Capacity planning.
- 17. Automate day-to-day tasks.
- 18. Participate in 24/7 operations via on call rotation schedule.
- 19. Document processes and procedures.
- 20. Taking ownership of issues and enhancements, progressing them through to a suitable conclusion
- 22. Understanding timescales and priorities and balancing these to ensure deliveries
