**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Patient Care**:

- Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, etc.).
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, injections, and wound care.
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
- Record and document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- **Medical Procedures**:

- Assist in medical procedures, surgeries, and diagnostic tests under the supervision of physicians or senior nurses.
- Administer prescribed medications and ensure the correct dosage is given.
- Assist in preparing and sterilizing medical equipment.
- **Patient Advocacy and Education**:

- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Educate patients and families about managing health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
- Advise patients on post-discharge care and follow-up treatments.
- **Collaboration and Teamwork**:

- Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Attend and contribute to care meetings, patient reviews, and team briefings.
- Ensure proper communication within the healthcare team to ensure continuous patient care.
- **Health and Safety**:

- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, hospital policies, and health and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Take part in audits and quality control processes to improve patient care and safety.
- **Record Keeping**:

- Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication administration, care plans, and progress notes.
- Ensure all documentation is in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards.
- **Training and Development**:

- Participate in continuous professional development to keep up to date with new medical practices, treatments, and technologies.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior nurses and nursing students.
