**Job Title**: School Librarian

**Location**:Marathahalli-Sarjapur Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka

**Salary**: ₹25,000 to ₹30,000

**Experience**: Minimum 4+ years

**Joining Date**: Next Academic Year

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain an organized, up-to-date library collection, including books, digital resources, and periodicals.
- Assist students and staff in locating and using library materials, ensuring accessibility to a wide range of resources.
- Promote reading culture and literacy among students through innovative programs, book clubs, and events.
- Develop age-appropriate library policies and provide orientation sessions for students on using library resources.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum.
- Stay updated on new books, digital tools, and trends in library science to enhance the library’s offerings.
- Maintain a digital catalog system and ensure accurate record-keeping of borrowed and returned materials.
- Supervise library staff and volunteers, if any, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive library environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Manage the library budget effectively to acquire new resources and maintain existing materials.
- Support research and information literacy skills development in students.

**Requirements**:

- Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science (MLISc).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in school library management, preferably in an international school setting.
- Strong organizational and cataloging skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff.
- Proficiency in digital cataloging tools and online library systems.
- Passion for books, learning, and fostering a reading culture among students.
- Ability to plan and execute engaging library programs and events.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Familiarity with international school curriculums and library standards.
- Knowledge of emerging trends in library science and technology integration.
