Taekwondo Coach

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Taekwondo Training & Skill Development**:

- Plan and deliver taekwondo lessons focusing on fundamental techniques such as kicks, punches, stances, blocks, forms (patterns), and self-defense.
- Design drills and exercises to improve students' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination, while reinforcing taekwondo discipline.
- Provide individualized feedback to help students improve their technique and performance.
- **Competition & Event Preparation**:

- Prepare students for participation in local or regional taekwondo competitions by developing training plans that focus on sparring, forms, and breaking techniques.
- Support students’ preparation for belt testing by ensuring they are meeting the required standards for advancement.
- Attend and support students during taekwondo competitions, tournaments, and demonstrations, offering guidance and coaching during events.
- **Physical Conditioning & Fitness**:

- Design fitness programs to improve students' endurance, strength, agility, and flexibility necessary for taekwondo.
- Ensure that students are maintaining proper physical conditioning to enhance their taekwondo performance and prevent injuries.
- **Student Development & Mentorship**:

- Foster an environment that encourages personal growth, self-discipline, confidence, and respect for others, in line with the core values of taekwondo.
- Provide mentorship and motivation to students to help them set and achieve personal goals in taekwondo.
- Encourage students to develop leadership qualities through teamwork and active participation.
- **Safety & Equipment Management**:

- Ensure students are using proper protective gear (headgear, gloves, pads, etc.) during sparring and other physical activities.
- Maintain a safe and organized training environment, addressing any safety concerns or equipment issues promptly.
- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and ready for use during training sessions.
- **Communication & Collaboration**:

- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, upcoming events, and any issues or concerns.
- Work with other faculty members to integrate taekwondo into the broader school sports program and encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with fellow coaches to coordinate schedules and share coaching best practices.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and training methods in taekwondo.
- Participate in taekwondo coaching workshops, seminars, or conferences to continuously improve your coaching abilities.
- Reflect on coaching practices and seek feedback from students, parents, and colleagues to refine your teaching methods.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education & Experience**:

- Black Belt or higher in Taekwondo (preferred).
- Certification in Taekwondo coaching (local/national/international) is preferred.
- Previous coaching experience, especially in a school or youth setting, is a plus.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of taekwondo techniques, training methods, and competition rules.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Strong leadership and motivational abilities to inspire students.
- Ability to assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Organizational skills to manage practice sessions, events, and competition preparations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other coaches and staff members.

**Working Conditions**:

- Part-time position, based on practice schedules, competitions, and school events.
- Some evening and weekend work required for practices, matches, and events.
- A positive, supportive environment with opportunities for professional growth and skill development.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
