**Job Summary**:
As a Cashier in our retail department store, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by efficiently and accurately processing transactions at the checkout counter. You will also play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Customer Service:

- Greet customers with a friendly demeanor as they approach the checkout counter.
- Assist customers with inquiries, provide product information, and offer assistance with locating items.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, escalating issues to the appropriate supervisor when necessary.
- Ensure each customer transaction is handled promptly, accurately, and courteously.

2. Cash Handling:

- Process cash, credit card, debit card, and other forms of payment accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances by following cash handling procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and security of cash, checks, and other forms of payment.

3. Checkout Operations:

- Scan and bag items efficiently, ensuring accuracy in pricing and quantity.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness.

4. Product Knowledge:

- Stay informed about current promotions, discounts, and special offers to effectively communicate them to customers.
- Familiarize yourself with the layout of the store and the location of products to assist customers in finding items.

5. Laws and regulations:

- Follow all applicable laws and regulations regarding the sale of age-restricted products and the handling of cash transactions.

**Qualifications**:

- 12th pass/Graduate
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role preferred.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Manual dexterity to operate scanning equipment and handle cash and payment cards.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

**Salary**: ₹7,500.00 per month
