Role Summary

WSP is seeking a Graduate Consultant to support our UK Cultural Heritage & Archaeology (CH&A) Team. The appointment is key to development of our growing CH&A Team in Noida / Bengaluru that supports the UK Team. The role will require a combination of technical expertise and knowledge of archaeology and heritage.

The WSP UK Cultural Heritage and Archaeology team is one of the largest heritage consultancies in UK. It works across the UK and occasionally overseas and covers all aspects of the historic environment (archaeology, built heritage, setting and design) throughout the full lifecycle of projects. We provide our clients with expert advice on an ever-increasing portfolio of heritage related enquiries that address the management of change in our historic environment. We work on high profile and large-scale infrastructure projects in the UK and abroad as part of a multi-disciplinary team and aim to deliver high quality work while contributing to innovative approaches and challenges within the heritage sector.

**A typical week would include**:

- On-the-job training in heritage consultancy (archaeology and/or built heritage) to budget and deadlines.
- Research and GIS work
- Producing/providing support for cultural heritage and archaeological desk-based assessments
- Producing illustrations

The successful applicant will be a highly motivated team player, who is able to meet the challenges of a busy consultancy environment. You will be conscientious with high attention to detail and good command of written and spoken English. You will be an integral member of the team, delivering the highest standards of technical work and aiding the continued success of the Cultural Heritage & Archaeology Team. You will have a strong awareness of Health and Safety and risk management.

Key Competencies / Skills

We would like to hear from you if you have these essential skills:

- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Archaeology/ Architecture/ Conservation/ History or alike
- Report writing skills
- Some experience in archaeological/built heritage fieldwork
- Familiar with GIS and MS Office
- Excellent English writing skills
- Good communicator and team player
- Highly motivated
- Conscientious with an efficient approach to work
- Able to work to tight deadlines and budget and be flexible and responsive in relation to last minute changes / changes in priorities.
