CNC Machine Operator

**Job Title**: CNC Machine Operator (Metal Sheet Cutting, Bending, Drawing)

**Job Summary**:
The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines used in metal sheet cutting, bending, and drawing processes. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, programming machines, ensuring precision in manufacturing, and performing routine maintenance. The operator will work closely with the production team to ensure that all parts are manufactured according to specifications and delivered on time.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Machine Operation**:

- Set up and operate the following CNC machines:

- **Press Brake**: YAWEI 160-ton with DNC600s controller for precise bending of metal sheets.
- **Fiber Laser Cutting Machine**: Operate using CypCut software to achieve accurate cuts on metal sheets.
- **Turret Punch Machine**: Siemens controller with 38 stations for punching operations.
- Load materials into the machines, secure workpieces, and start the machining process.
- Monitor machine operations to detect any issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.
- **Programming and Setup**:

- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to understand product specifications.
- Program CNC machines, including the press brake, fiber laser cutter, and turret punch, to perform specific tasks according to design specifications.
- Set up machines by installing and adjusting tools, attachments, and fixtures.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions.
- Identify and correct any defects or inconsistencies in the produced parts.
- **Maintenance**:

- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Production Manager.
- Ensure that the machines are operated safely and maintained according to manufacturer guidelines.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of machine operations, including production logs and quality reports.
- Communicate with the Production Manager about production schedules, machine status, and any issues that arise.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the production team, engineers, and quality control personnel to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to production timelines.
- Assist in training junior operators or new hires on CNC machine operation and safety protocols.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in operating CNC machines, specifically the YAWEI press brake with DNC600s controller, fiber laser cutting machines with CypCut software, and turret punch machines with Siemens controllers.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine setup.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools and quality control processes.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a CNC Machine Operator in a metal fabrication environment.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication processes and materials is highly desirable.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**:

- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve machining issues.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on CNC equipment.
- **Attention to Detail**:

- High level of precision and attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of manufactured parts.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work and maintaining industry standards.
- **Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and handle materials up to **23 kg**.
- Prolonged standing and working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- **Communication Skills**:

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and report to the Production Manager.

**Tools and Software**:

- **Press Brake**: YAWEI 160-ton with DNC600s controller.
- **Fiber Laser Cutting Machine**: Operated with CypCut software.
- **Turret Punch Machine**: Siemens controller with 38 stations.
- **CAD/CAM Software**: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam.

**Work Environment**:

- The role involves working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- The CNC Machine Operator must adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
