We are looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our IT Data & Analytics team in Bangalore. This is an amazing opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects catering to multiple business teams within Clarivate. The team consists of 9 people and is reporting to the Senior Manager of Data & Analytics. By joining us you will have the opportunity to develop machine learning and AI models for a variety of high priority strategic projects that enable our business teams to discover new insights and empower them to take the right decisions.

**About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments**
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, R, or Java and knowledge to query databases like Redshift, Oracle, MySQL.
- Strong skills in data analysis, data cleansing and preprocessing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.

**It would be great if you also had...**
- Experience with Data Visualization Tools like Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib to help view the data.
- Experience in Deep Learning Algorithms.

**What will you be doing in this role?**
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their specific problems/ analytical requirements.
- Researches and identifies ML and NLP methods and algorithms to help with the business requirements.
- Implements these methods and devises appropriate test plan to validate and compare the different approaches.
- Explores existing data for insights and recommends additional sources of data for improvements.
- Stay up to date on new ML/NLP/AI methods and enhance existing solutions accordingly.

**About the Team**

You will be a part of Clarivate’s IT Services unit, as part of the Data and Analytics team with a focus of helping colleagues across different business units derive meaningful business insights. This team with a mix of data analysts, BI tools specialists and data scientists plays a pivotal role in deriving meaningful patterns, trends, and knowledge from the data that empowers different areas within Clarivate drive intelligent business decisions.

**Hours of Work**
- Full time, permanent based out of Bangalore Location
- 45 hours in a week
- Hybrid Position
