Clearing Agent

As a clearing agent specializing in electrical scooters within port operations, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth clearance of all documents and regulatory requirements related to the import/export of electrical scooters. You will be integral in facilitating the movement of these scooters through customs and other relevant regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all legal and procedural requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Documentation Handling:

- Receive, review, and process all necessary documentation related to the import/export of electrical scooters, including invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, permits, and certificates of origin.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation, including verifying compliance with import/export regulations and customs requirements.
- Customs Clearance:

- Liaise with customs officials and other regulatory agencies to obtain necessary clearances and approvals for the import/export of electrical scooters.
- Prepare and submit customs declarations and other required documentation to facilitate the clearance process.
- Coordinate with customs brokers or freight forwarders to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the clearance process.
- Compliance Management:

- Stay informed about changes in import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements that may impact the clearance process for electrical scooters.
- Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements and ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all clearance activities and documentation for audit purposes.
- Communication and Coordination:

- Act as the primary point of contact for all parties involved in the clearance process, including shippers, carriers, customs officials, and internal departments.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders to provide updates on clearance status, resolve issues, and address any concerns or questions.
- Problem Resolution:

- Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies related to documentation, clearance procedures, or regulatory compliance in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement corrective actions and prevent future issues.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as international trade, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Previous experience working as a customs broker, freight forwarder, or clearing agent in a similar industry, preferably with experience in handling electrical scooters or similar products.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
