**Job Description: Agriculturist with Potato Farming Expertise**

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Cultivation Management**: Oversee potato farming operations, including soil preparation, planting, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting.
- **Quality Assurance**: Ensure the quality of potatoes meets the specifications for processing into food products like fries, chips, and other formed items.
- **Research & Development**: Implement best practices and innovative techniques to enhance yield and reduce waste.
- **Supply Chain Coordination**: Liaise with farmers and suppliers to secure consistent, high-quality raw materials for the processing plant.
- **Sustainability Practices**: Promote eco-friendly and sustainable farming methods to improve soil health and reduce environmental impact.
- **Data Analysis**: Monitor crop performance, analyze data, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- **Training & Development**: Conduct training sessions for farm workers on advanced potato farming techniques.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Agriculture or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in potato farming, preferably linked with food processing requirements.
- Familiarity with modern agricultural tools, techniques, and practices.
- Strong knowledge of pest and disease management in potato crops.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for working with suppliers and farmers.
