**Position Title: Chemist QC**

**Level: Junior Staff**

**Reporting To**: Lead QC**

**Position Purpose**:

- The Chemist QC Lab is responsible for testing of RM/In-process, finished goods sample and other Quality control activities.

**Strategic Responsibilities**:
**Strategic**
- To perform quality related activities as per defined procedure.
- Daily plan and timely analyze sample to achieve optimum performance and output from the instruments.

**Operational Responsibilities**:

- Perform testing and calibration activities as per the laid STP.
- Implement the identified corrective and preventive actions.
- Highlight the Non-conformity observed during testing and calibration.
- Implement guidelines for risk control and Environment safe guard.
- Ensure good housekeeping in the laboratory.
- Management of laboratory chemicals and gas cylinders including storage, handling and transportation.
- Ensure adherence to sampling plan and procedures sample collection.
- Responsible to highlight the inconsistency in samples received.
- Responsible to maintain safe working condition and safety of equipment.
- Maintain quality records as per the laid Management system.
- Monitor analysis and testing performance and data analysis.
- Ensure waste samples handling and disposal in safe manner.
- Highlight the Non-conformity observed during testing and calibration
- Implement corrective and preventive actions as per the action plan.
- Ensure safe working environment.

**Financial Responsibilities**:

- Adherence to schedule of calibration of equipment, solutions and standards.
- Preparation of, Test certificates and checking the same
- Responsible for sample collection and inspection of finished good for appearance and weight verifications.
- Maintain the sample identity, status and safe transportation of test samples.
- Responsible for control samples preparation, packing and maintenance of same.
- Responsible for marking quality status on the finished product as per the inspection status.
- Responsible for chemicals, reagents and gas cylinders transportation from stores to laboratory.
- Implement guidelines for safe handling of tested samples waste and transfer.
- Maintain records of Management system.

**Education Qualification**:

- B.Sc /M.Sc

**Work Experience**:

- 3-8 years in quality control department

**Industry to be Hired from**:

**Functional Competencies**:

- Sound knowledge in operation, analysis and trouble shooting in GC, HPLC analysis and wet analysis
- Good analytical skill and system approach to analyze the problems
- Knowledge of QMS and NABL system
