**Description**
- Provide expert medical care to critically ill patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex medical conditions.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients' clinical status, including physical examinations, review of medical history, interpretation of diagnostic tests, and assessment of hemodynamic stability and organ function.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for ICU patients based on clinical assessments, diagnostic findings, evidence-based guidelines, and patient preferences, incorporating medical therapy, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic support, and invasive procedures as necessary.
- Coordinate and lead the multidisciplinary ICU healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and allied health professionals, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care delivery, effective communication, and collaboration among team members.
- Monitor and manage patients' vital signs, hemodynamic parameters, fluid balance, electrolyte levels, and response to treatment interventions, making timely adjustments and modifications to optimize patient outcomes and prevent complications.
- Perform invasive procedures and interventions in the ICU, including endotracheal intubation, central venous catheterization, arterial line placement, bronchoscopy, and bedside procedures, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Interpret and analyze diagnostic tests and imaging studies, including laboratory results, electrocardiograms (ECG), chest X-rays, CT scans, and echocardiograms, to guide clinical decision-making, adjust treatment plans, and monitor disease progression.
- Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers regarding critical illness, treatment options, prognosis, and end-of-life care decisions, promoting shared decision-making and providing emotional support during times of crisis.
