**QA Manual Tester**

**Experience: 5+ Years**

**Job type: Full time**

**Job description**:
- Review and analysis of requirement specifications independently to facilitate comprehensive test case creation.
- Reporting bugs and issues in detailed, clear, and reproducible formats using the bug tracking tool.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements, ensure quality, and provide feedback.
- Supporting the testing of API-based integrations (e.g., ISO8583, ISO20022).
- Validating transactions and ensure accurate processing according to business and financial protocols.
- Documenting and communicating testing progress and results with good clarity

**Required Skills**:

- Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC) and defect lifecycle.
- Experience in manual testing with a strong understanding of functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Good communication skills for reporting defects and collaborating with team members.
- Strong orientation towards following the standard test process for test documentation and execution.
- Should be willing to be an individual contributor apart from taking additional team co-ordination responsibilities.

**Technical Skills**:

- In-depth understanding of how payment gateways and switches operate, including transaction flows, authorization, clearing, and settlement processes.
- Strong manual testing skills and hands on experience in validating transaction flows, response codes and errors across the payment lifecycle.
- ISO 8583/ISO 20022 Standards: Expertise in message formats used for payment transactions. Familiarity in terms of validating the fields, processing codes, and message parsing for these standards.
- Strong working/hands-on experience on the following areas.
- Knowledge of Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and other card networks.
- EMV and Contactless Payments: Familiarity with Europay, Mastercard, Visa (EMV) standards, tokenization, and contactless payment methods (e.g., NFC).
- Tokenization & Encryption/Decryption: Knowledge of how tokenization and encryption work to secure sensitive payment data.
- Authorization, Reversal, and Refunds: Understanding the flow of different transaction types (purchase, refund, reversal) lifecycle.
- Settlement and Clearing: Testing for proper settlement of funds, ensuring batch settlement processes work correctly for end-of-day or real-time settlement cycles.
- Write basic SQL queries to validate stored transaction data (e.g., authorization codes, settlement records, chargebacks).

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience working in a fast paced environment supporting dynamic requests.
- Knowledge on experience for Network/Card certification processes is an added advantage.
