**WHO YOU ARE**: Responsible for defining the technical landscape required to fulfill the data requirements in line with fulfilling stated business requirements. Understand digital tool landscape and key data requirements across the enterprise and creates a blueprint for an integrated landscape with data flow / information flow pipelines. Participate in planning sessions with DTIT Leads, Data Stewards, Engineering teams, Product Managers, business and IT stakeholders, that result in roadmap definition of key initiatives Defines technical guidelines to ensure proper testing, security adherence and lifecycle maintenance of data as required by the organization. Responsible to understand the non-functional requirements around data platforms and incorporate the same in solution design. Guide the data engineering team on a day to day basis towards implementation of the required data pipelines. Participates in the design of new capabilities, guides and supports testing activities and helps with troubleshooting of critical issues on the platform. Defines framework for technical backlog on the data platform to take care of scalability, security and compliance requirements for the data platform Lead Open Data efforts, making data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable) to strengthen Bayer Crop Science's effectiveness in carrying out its mission Support data governance initiatives and helps in technical implementation of those as appropriate. Collaborate with data stewards and engineers within the team and across teams on aligning delivery dates and integration efforts. Work with the global data asset team to align on the architectural roadmap of the Smallholder data platforms with the global platforms, including integration and regulatory requirements. Guide designing of robust, reusable and scalable data driven solutions and data pipeline frameworks to automate the ingestion, processing and delivery of both structured and unstructured batch and real-time streaming data; Mentoring individuals in the engineering and stewardship teams on technical advancements; Identify learning opportunities for the development community and influence education programs within the data organization
