Role Summary:
The Supply Chain Internship Program is a prestigious internship program for college students who have a passion for technology, a drive for excellence, and share in Wabtec’s core values. The program participants will have an opportunity to obtain exposure to real-life/real-time industrial product, process & supplier relation development. The program will facilitate to accelerate participants' industrial acumen through a variety of business-critical assignments. The typical internship duration is for about 6-months for the pre-final and final year students.
**Responsibilities**:
The interns have the following responsibilities:
- Effectively perform RFQ process for global sourcing parts.- Analyze global spend and identify the projects Hopper for new business for exports.- Review Strategic supplier matrix for all categories and align it with sourcing strategy document.- Develop an IT based tool to track the global sourcing projects by category, by site and by product line
Project Streams & Activities for the Internship:
- EMEA spend analysis for RMF category- Identify key noun names with expertise in India supply base- Identify potential parts for exports and strengthen the global sourcing hopper- Work with IT to develop a powerBI based tool to track the projects status. This will be for all category
Qualification/Characteristics:- Soft Skills:
- Sound understanding of Excel and PowerBI tool-
- Project management knowledge-
- Strong oral and written communication skills-
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills-
